Before you order: confirm the engine code
The single most expensive mistake in engine replacement is ordering the wrong variant. Within one engine family, single-turbo and bi-turbo units differ, and front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive units differ — the blocks, sumps, mountings and ancillaries are not interchangeable.
Your engine code is stamped on the block, usually on a machined pad near the gearbox mating face, and appears on your V5C logbook in section D.2. If you cannot find it, send us the registration number and we will identify the exact unit before anything is ordered.
What is replaced on every engine
- New pistons, piston rings, main bearings and big-end bearings
- Crankshaft reground and magna-fluxed, block honed to OE bore
- Cylinder head pressure tested and skimmed to OE flatness
- New valve stem seals, camshaft bearings and OE multi-layer head gasket
- New oil pump, water pump, timing chain or belt kit, seals and gaskets
- Full inspection before dispatch
